Dear Anne, I am interested in teaching adults in a chair exercise program in the New york area. I have certifications in older adult training and water aerobics from ISSA and experience in Tai Chi and Chi Qong, resistance training and no touch therapy. Can you help me or give me some direction in this endeavor.
    Thanks,
    Harry Weinstein

  2. Hello Anne,

I am a Certified Group Fitness Instructor thru AFAA and I am considering taking their Longevity Training for Seniors workshop. I am very impressed with your mission and focus, and would like your opinion on if you think this would be a reputable start to offering low-impact aerobics classes for Seniors?

My current product offering includes Gospelcise, Urban Line Dancing, Chicago Steppin’, Detroit Ballroom Dancing, DC Bop for active adults. I want to expand my services to focus on the senior population.

    Thanks,

    Carolyn A. Patterson

    • Hi Carolyn,
I am an education provider with AFAA, and I have not taken the longevity training for seniors course. I don’t know what the objectives are for that specific course, and if that will translate into low-impact aerobics for seniors. AFAA’s courses are usually both practical and lecture/educational which is why I like their approach.

I would like to investigate, before I go ahead and recommend this program with your goals in mind.
      -Anne
